After a long term of silence, here I am! It was one of the promises I made to myself for the new year, to pay more attention to my blog than I did before! I return to my blogging career, more enthousiastic and with many many more ideas!

All this time I have not made any post, I was not relaxing. On the contrary, I was working hard! I was reading a lot, basically technical stuff about websites and tried to improve my skills in programming languages, as I need to develope my websites on my own. Of course, I haven’t learned everything and I continue studying. I’ve just decided to organize my time and include in my schedule blog posts.

From now on, you’ll read often new posts, so keep in touch ;).

I wish everyone happy 2008, full of love and health! Peace to the whole world! These wishes might be “common”, but they are really important! So, let’s say them not just because we use to do it these days every year, but try to make them true.

Let’s make a better world in 2008! Let’s be better people! Of course we cannot change everything at once, but we can make it little by little. We should start from our personal lives first. I can give you an idea about what we can do:

Are there people you don’t like, or you have argued in the past and your relationship is not good? Give them one more chance and excuse them. You’ll see soon improvement to your relationships.

Are you recycling? If not, start collecting at least one kind of things, like paper, and throw them to the appropriate recycling bins.

Do you have clothes you don’t wear any more? Find people in need, or human organisations and give these to them.

Do you smoke? If you cannot stop it, at least reduce it, and keep the extra money you would spend to cigaretts to buy something special to yourself.

I can tell you hundrends of such small ideas to improve ourselves and the world we live in and I’m sure you will find a lot more. You don’t need to force yourself to change so fast, but even a small step is important and it’s being worth it.

Every day millions of people watch all kinds of videos on YouTube and other similar websites, where you can upload your home videos and use for free. So, it’s a great place to promote your blog.

Open an account with the name of your blog and make an attractive profile, where you can write your blog’s address, in a specific place. Many people will see it and visit your page!

Make a short video, like an advertisement of your blog, and upload it. You can make it really easy with a very simple programme, like Windows Movie Maker or Pinnacle Studio or, if you are more qualified, with Adobe Premiere Pro. There is no need to make it a professional movie, so you just need to know a simple use of such a programme.

Write down everything you could tell people in order to visit your blog, all the stuff you believe they would be interested in and make a scenario, like if it was an advertisement on tv. Alternate pictures and text, or pieces of videos and text. You can also film yourself encouraging people to visit your pages. But you can just make a slideshow of photos relative to your niche with an interesting music and your logo on it. Use your imagination and I am sure you’ll make an attractive video.

If you like, you can film yourself in series, talking about themes you could post to your blog, like many successful bloggers do. Many people can talk better than they write articles and this is great idea for them. This is also good if you want to make tutorials. It’s a lot easier for audience to watch the “teacher” than read articles or books. Don’t forget to use your logo, at least at the start and the end of the videos.

If your video doesn’t violate the TOS of YouTube, then, once you upload your video, forget about it and it will work for you for a long time!

You can also use YouTube in another way for your promotion. You can write comments in others videos, relative to your niche, saying about your new post, but do not spam. It’s a community and play with it’s rules. You can also embed other’s videos to your posts and your page’s address will be listed under the option links of the video.

Why don’t you start your own business on the internet?

I think it’s a great idea! You can work while staying at your comfortable home and control your business just sitting in front of your computer. Although you need systematic and hard work, you don’t need to be everyday the same time on duty, but you can make your own schedule. Above all, you have to do with something that interests and be the boss of yourself.
